GAME THREAD: No. 2 Alabama basketball vs. Auburn

Auburn 66, Alabama 54 | 8:58, H2

A Jahvon Quinerly 3 brings some life back to the Alabama fans, but the Crimson Tide still has a ways to climb if it is cutting down the nets tonight.

And now that we're getting warm we get stupid and let them goad us into a dumb situation.

Charles Bediako and Rylan Griffen have been ejected for illegal participation. They left the bench when things got heated on the floor.

Good grief.

We couldn't have been dumber. We (JQ) let Green and Johnson almost get the whole team ejected.

The officials probably feel like they had to throw half our team out due to a rule that's pretty clear. Can't leave the bench when an altercation is going on.

This yeams just continues to prove its immaturity! Undisciplined acts continue!

JQ has nothing to do with CB and Griffin making the dumb decision to run out there when they saw what was happening. That’s on them.

Alabama's ball after the break. Jahvon Quinerly has a season-high 24 points for the Crimson Tide.

Wish Sears would have worked with Bradley there instead of a pull up 3. Just a layup to go up 4 would have been huge.

Great comeback, wish Bama would have gotten a better shot on that last possession. Time to put them away in OT.

Probably the dumbest 3 pointer of the entire season! Up two with a fast break one on one, either a layup or foul most likely instead you let the tie the game!

I swear it feels like Johnson has been there a decade. He has to be done with eligibility after this season. Same for Flannigan.

Final: No. 2 Alabama 90, Auburn 85 (OT)

Alabama (26-4, 16-1) clinches its second SEC regular-season title in three years. The Crimson Tide will wrap up the regular season on Saturday at Texas A&M before heading into the conference tournament as the No. 1 seed.

Bama cutting down them nets after all. I would not have believed it when down by 17 with about 10 minutes to play.

They saying the same thing about JQ.
LOL JQ is on the 7 year plan and getting to play ball while doing it. Redshirt year, sit out year while transferring, covid year, 5 years of actual playing ball.

Assuming he wants that year next year.

Did we just secure a spot in Birmingham with that win?
Possibly, but IMO we need to finish the regular season with a win on Sat. It needs to be a foregone conclusion that we'll be a 1 seed and get to stay home in the South region. Lose ugly at A&M and we might have to do some work to get to go where we want to go.

Bama fans should never trust a selection committee to get us what most think we should get. We've been screwed too many times. So IMO take the decision part out of it and just make them put us there.
