This was bound to happen with the way they’ve been playing in first halves. You can’t just assume you can absolutely suck for half of every game and win in clutch type fashion over and over.

Not based on this game. Nobody that puts the ball in Herbs hands with the game on the line in the Sweet 16 is the coach of the year.

11-25 free-throw shooting.....that is shocking.
That was a player throwing up a prayer. If Oats drew up a play for a 25% three-point shooter who has not scored a point in the game, then he should give back that raise he got.
We weren’t prepared mentally. We started so poorly with Herb’s fouls. I think we thought it’d be an easy game based on their seeding.
Our FT shooting has been terrible most of the season. And we are a streaky 3 point shooting team. We lack consistency so hopefully that is something we can get going forward

Can't base the season on one game even when it hurts When we lost to West Ky I thought the season was over.
Also at the end where Herb takes a charge and nothing is called! The refs screwed up damn near every charge/blocking foul!
Bama guys just did not step their game up tonight. Not sure why but it was tough loss.
Maybe next year. But this team had it at their fingertips. Just could not handle the moment.

Yep; the refs had two huge gaffes at the end, but if we are just average on the FT line, it wouldn’t have mattered

that’s why I don’t really watch until the SEC tournament; everything up to that point is basically a dress rehearsal for the finale
