The GameDay feature for this week is a deep dive into Alabama's pass rush, which leads the SEC in sacks. The experts I talked to said it's the best in the Nick Saban era at Alabama, and maybe the deepest in the country right now.

It's not a surprise that guys like Jonathan Allen can bring the pressure, but Alabama also gets big contributions from players like Tim Williams and Ryan Anderson who come off the bench in specific spots. There are 8 players on the team with 2 or more sacks, and that doesn't even include A'Shawn Robinson or Jarran Reed, who have a bunch of hurries but fewer sacks.

Bringing pressure is obviously a big deal this weekend against Mississippi State, but it's not as easy as having defensive players pin their ears back and go straight at Dak Prescott. You have to be more measured and stay in your lane to make sure he doesn't break out for a scramble, or give him an open receiver downfield. Tough matchup.
