I've been trying to think of an explanation as to why we might have lost our edge on defense and have not really dominated our opponents like we use to. Does anyone think that when Saban got here he was selling kids on winning and playing for THE University of Alabama, thus attracting recruits that wanted to work hard and win which would explain why would were dominating so much and now we are selling kids on all the draft picks and making them a lot of money attracting more kids just using us to get to the league and not so much trying to win. Idk maybe I'm just trying to look for an excuse but I thought this might be an interesting discussion.
