I spoke with Jalen Milroe's father, who said the redshirt sophomore quarterback isn't considering transferring from Alabama despite today's commitment from Notre Dame transfer Tyler Buchner. The move did not faze Milroe, who is encouraged by his improvement as a passer this spring and comfortable with first-year offensive coordinator Tommy Rees.
“J will continue to do what he has always done — keep chopping wood and carrying water,” Milroe's father Quentin told Tide Illustrated.
The spring transfer portal window opened on April 15 and will close on April 30. Players have until then to put their name in the portal in order to be eligible to play at a new school next season.
Following the addition of Buchner, Alabama has five scholarship quarterbacks on its roster, including Milroe, redshirt freshman Ty Simpson and true freshmen Eli Holstien and Dylan Lonergan.
