Great job by Oats to call some post up plays for Gurley. Miss a couple threes, go inside. That's what I'm talking about.

IF you go back and watch JD highlights in HS, he feasted off that mid-range shot when he couldn't get it to the basket and dunk on some poor kid. why not step in after that pump fake and take the shot he is most comfortable with?

I didn’t get to watch any but saw we weee up 46-34 with 3 mins left in the half and let them go 13-0. Any chance Oats called a timeout half way through that run?

Nah… waited till down 1 lol. You could see it coming when they got within 8 and he just lets it ride. When the team is so clearly out of sorts and feeling the game pressure you HAVE to stop it and calm them down. It’s not about strategy it’s helping your team handle the game pressure. The only thing he does that drives me insane
Basically the lead was due to Ellis being super hot, then UK started getting other Bama guys to shoot and they missed a ton of open shots…but most of those guys are shooting under 30% for the year, so getting them to shoot is good D strategy by UK.
Even without the injured guys UK seems way more athletic than Bama, particularly the bigs, although I loved the post ups by Gurley and Bediako didn’t seem overmatched just got in foul trouble.
Let’s be clear, Kentucky IS a better basketball team than Alabama this year. We are battling just let the end of the half get away from us. Gotta D up this half or we will lose by 10. Hoping we pull it out

My man Gary making a play there. I missed the first half bc of basketball. Now we heading to the baseball field. I’ll watch the game later. Save a couple turnovers and timeouts for me.
