And here we go again- 4 walks in the first 2 innings ( 3 alone in the 2nd) including walking a run in already. Simply cannot average 7-8 walks per game ( sometimes more) in this league and have any chance to win. After that debacle in the ninth yesterday and the on going pitching problems it is very clear we have a coaching problem. Same pitchers were much better last year.

Walk, single, walk, walk brings home a run for SC. Eicholtz gets out of the jam with a double play. SC leads 1-0 heading to the 3rd

Short has a leadoff double and 1 out wild pitch moves him to third, but he's stranded there. In the 3rd it's still 1-0

8 walks again by Bama pitching today. Both SC runs were scored by someone who walked. By contrast- the Gamecocks have not issued a walk all day.

Eicholtz threw 104 pitches in only 5.2 innings. That's way too many pitches. A run scores on a double but a runner was gunned down by Alexander. Going to the 7th trailing 2-1

NEW BOMB SQUAD MEMBER CODY HENRY WITH A BOMB. Game tied 2-2. Gene Wood knocked out a window of a bus parked in the parking lot on his HR and Henry's was just short of hitting a different bus. Think the players are making a statement?

2 observations: I do like the hitting approach taught to our hitters. Cody Henry had 0 home runs in 2 years. Now he has 5 or 6. Credit to Goff. On a second note, Suchey pitched 52 pitches Friday night and don't think he should be in today. Even announcers questioning. I would say Goff knows best, but when it comes to managing pitchers, NO WAY.

Mental errors loses games...I'm sorry Carolina scored more then 3 runs with no hits. Alabama don't lose games they give them away. 12-12 with Gaspard recruits

Been that way all season. Pitching staff will be gassed by mid season at this rate.

We won't have any pitchers because they will all be recovering from TJ

No, I just don't understand how a school as great as Alabama is. Let Gaspard run our baseball program in the ground. Where the next coach can't fix it fast. But if it was football it would've been different. Alabama can afford any coach and they picked Goff because he's cheaper. But I like Goff alot if MLB don't get our best recruits he will fix it better then what it is now. Because while I was watching the game I was doing research on there recruits where they were ranked out of high school and Goff is recruiting like sc is. But everything you do in high school doesn't count when you step on campus

Will make it tough to recruit good pitchers. I think any pitcher who has a chance should go pro as soon as possible ... some of the College coaches will use them like this ... will not happen in the Minors.
A 100 pitches in an outing is fine at this point in the season. Throwing 50 on Friday and coming back Sunday would not happen in the minors ... possible in the majors in the playoffs.

BAMAMAN because of the disparity in scholarships most of the really good coaches will not come to Alabama. Money is not the problems scholarships us. Even if they are at a mid major ... they can wait and get a good job at a school who is not at a disparity in scholarships. If you told CNS he gets 50 scholarships and LSU and UF and UGA and ..... get 85 .... do you think he takes the job ... do you think he still wins big? UF will average a dozen more baseball scholarships than UA .... because of state funded scholarships. It is what it is ........ if I was a good baseball coach no way I would return a call from Bama or AU or USA or UAB .... I would rather have the Central Florida baseball job than Bama.
