So what is the problem with Bama basketball??

I see multitudes of people on here saying it is so much bigger than hiring a new head coach. Fair enough. If you don't mind catch some of us up on what has been promised vs what has been delivered from the higher ups. Problem isnt as easy to fix as a new 80 million dollar facility with student section on the floor either. So what then?? How is Bama lacking vs NC State, Arky, Purdue, etc?Lay it out for me please.
