These are the games that hurt fan support, we will be talking about this one for awhile. Oats will never get over the hump losing these games. Worse than the UGA loss. Bama basketball is Bama basketball. RTR.

I hope that I'm wrong, but I could easily see this team lose to LSU on Saturday and then get bounced from both the SEC tournament and NCAA tournament in the first game. One and done!
I hate it that your little man had to witness that train wreck in person. But I guess there is no better life lesson you could teach him about tempering expectations than taking him to an Alabama basketball game.

This loss is a disgrace. I would have them ip at 6:00 in the morning running stadiums at BDS until they puked.
Wow, I don’t post much, but we were spoiled last year and the worst top 25 team I think I’ve ever seen. Truly no heart and totally embarrassing and they are all about look at me. I really thought we were onto something with Oats, but it was very premature. Make 3’s and we can beat anyone. Miss 3’s and we can lose to anyone. No adjustments or heart at all, is what it is!

If we win a tournament game it will be the first time we have won a tournament game in back to back seasons since 1995. We have a dog shit basketball program lol.

Beyond sad. Always said program has never been the same since Wimp had to resign. ( 2004 and last year being the exceptions).
In all seriousness… tonight was infuriating but just gotta bounce back.. it doesn't change much about the rest of the season except for keeping the 6 line on the table

They are consistently inconsistent. I went to softball and Torrence pitched well. She was a little iffy in the top of the 6th, but made up by quite a play at home getting out the runner. UA 7. UAB 0
He was jacked about being there. Went to the baseball game a few innings before. Seeing Keon mainly and JQ, JDs hair and Bediako and the coach of the year as he calls him. He’s into the whole deal. He got that program that he will have memorized.
He knows we lost and he didn’t like it but he won’t forget it all anytime soon.
I haven’t told him the coach of the year isn’t into adjustments or timeouts.
Games like this show how soft this team really is. A worse loss than UGA considering it was at home and 2 guys punked us all second half long. Buzz got on the officials before the tip and got a tech call early. His team got a lot of breaks after that on some really physical play. Didn't matter though. We were too busy throwing passes into the first row and forgetting there's an out of bounds line around the court.
Oats has yet to beat a Buzz coached team. Last seasons game was covid canceled and they punked us in T-Town two years ago. His game is kryptonite to what Oats does. They over play all the passing lanes, trap at spots on the floor where we tend to get our offense moving, and we will try a circus jump to make some crazy pass without actually seeing where we're passing it. Probably should have seen this one coming. With our luck they'll be our Thu opponent and we'll limp into the tournament as an 8 seed on a 3 game losing streak.
We basically let two players beat us. 2 on 5 and we bent over backwards to assist those 2 for the last 20 minutes of the game. We were playing so bad it might as well have been Houston out there wearing aggie maroon as good as we made them look. You could tell in the first half that this was going to be one of those stinkers unless someone got unconscious shooting 3s.
How many times can you go into the paint wild and out of control and look to pass after you're either off the ground or far enough leaned up that you can only hand it to the other team?
I guess we hope this was the last wakeup call and they stay awake from now on. Otherwise we may lose 3 in a row before selection Sunday.

I already have. The Alabama fan base for basketball can be as inconsistent as the team. And with 38,000 students on campus.
Year 1 sucks…Year 2 good with 2 NBA draft choice players and a lot of someone else’s recruits…Year 3 super crazy with wins versus top National Teams and losses versus SEC bottom feeders. The jury is still out on CNO. He has a chance to prove all of his naysayers wrong this season. I am not optimistic and yes I am a naysayer. His erratic style is not sustainable…it’s not the NBA style as he promotes it to be. But for us I hope that I am wrong!!!
Again… if we win a game in the tournament it will be our first time advancing in back to back years since 1995.. let’s not act like even with this years frustrations we aren’t in infinitely better shape as a program than we have been in nearly 30 years. The root of all issues this year is leadership and that’s partly on oats for sure. If we would just show up focused and committed to defense every single game we are probably a 5-6 loss team right now. Our guys do not get it and it’s the reason this team is so wildly inconsistent. It’s not oats system… we have shit leadership among the players and the team cannot maintain a high level of focus and energy for more than a few games at a time. They have any success they think they are the shit and can just cruise
Didnt get to watch. Looked at stats before I looked at score n knew it wasnt good when our 2 starting guards out rebounded every big on the roster combined, not to mention we had twice as many TOs...we are in desperate need of an athletic strong big, and a half court offense. We got too many starters looking forward to the league
I think you may change your take once you watch. The guards couldn’t stay in front of anybody and got us torched all night defensively and Bediako played a good game. Our offense is not an issue other than mind numbing turnovers. We no show defensively almost all of our losses. Not focused
I’m learning that no one on this team hates to lose. We have no will to win.
