TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama players worked Thursday outside for their final practice before Saturday’s A-Day scrimmage. Players were dressed in shorts and helmets in 65-degree weather for the team’s 14th practice of the spring. Here are some notes from the media viewing period.
— Tua Tagovailoa (hand) was not participating in any drills and worked away from the rest of the quarterbacks. He held a ball in his right hand but didn’t do much while talking with head trainer Jeff Allen.
— Jarez Parks was not seen during practice.
— After working with the inside linebackers all spring, Dylan Moses was seen taking reps with the outside linebackers Thursday.
— Anfernee Jennings (knee) was back with the outside linebackers wearing a black jersey but did not appear to be doing much during drills. He had a brace on his left knee.
— With Moses gone, Mack Wilson and Joshua McMillon led the inside linebackers. Markail Benton and VanDarius Cowan were in the next group, while Ben Davis worked beside a walk-on in the third group.
— Alabama’s first-team offensive line heading into the scrimmage was Jonah Williams, Lester Cotton, Ross Pierschbacher, Jedrick Wills and Alex Leatherwood from left to right. The second unit was Chris Owens, Deonte Brown, Brandon Kennedy, Elliot Baker and Scott Lashley.
— Brian Robinson appeared to be limited and was held back from the rest of the running backs during drills. We saw that before the scrimmage and he turned out being a full participant, so I wouldn’t take that to seriously.
