Football 🏈 Alabama players give their reviews of new College Football 25 video game

“It’s definitely surreal,” Alabama offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor said of seeing himself in the game. “I grew up playing College Football on the Xbox 360. To have a game right now with me in it, my name, number, everything. It has my stats and that I’m from Des Moines, Iowa. To be able to represent my city is a really cool experience.”

OT: Buc-ee’s

What is the big deal with this place? I went today for the very first time. It’s extremely crowded, everybody’s in everybody’s way and I really just don’t get it. It looked like to me that they just had more of everything. They had quite a few gifts, knickknacks if you’ll call it that much like what you’d find in Bass Pro shops. You had a tremendous amount of candies and things like that there’s an area in the middle where they’re preparing barbecue sandwiches and then there’s another area where they’re making glazed donuts and nuts. And I heard somebody comment about the brisket sandwich, so I tried one. I’ve had worse sandwiches but I’ve had a lot better brisket than that. I don’t know, unless my kids wanna stop there, I’ll probably won’t be visiting very often.

Hoops 🏀 Alabama makes hiring of Brian Adams official

Alabama men's basketball head coach Nate Oats announced Thursday the hiring of Brian Adams as assistant coach. Adams comes to Tuscaloosa with over a decade worth of coaching in the NBA as an assistant coach. Most recently, Adams served as an assistant coach with the Detroit Pistons during the 2023-24 season.

"We are thrilled to welcome Brian Adams to our staff and will be a huge asset to our program,” Oats said. “Brian came highly recommended from a lot of coaches throughout the NBA and college ranks and is known for his relentless work ethic and the energy he brings. Brian’s primary focus will be on the defensive end and has excelled on that end of the court throughout his coaching career. Not only is Brian a great coach but is also a high character individual and has coached in the NBA where our players eventually want to continue their careers. We are excited to welcome him and his family to Tuscaloosa.”

"I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to work at the University of Alabama under Nate Oats,” Adams said. “The chance to work for one of the premier college basketball programs in the country and to work for one of the best coaches in the game is very exciting. Coach Oats has implemented an NBA-style system and I am excited to help etch out a defensive identity.”

Adams also spent time previously as the head coach of the Los Angeles Clippers G League affiliate, the Agua Caliente Clippers, and has coached current NBA players Cade Cunningham, Joel Embiid, James Harden and Anfernee Simons. Adams has also coached oversees, serving as head coach in the professional ranks in Taiwan, for the Taipei Taishin Mars in the T1 League.

The native of Pine Plains, N.Y. has also coached in college with stints at Harvard University and Marist College as an assistant coach.

Football 🏈 Alabama BOT agrees to naming of Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium

“This is a very special honor,” Saban via a Zoom call during the board of trustees meeting. “I don’t think there could be anything that honors the hard work and the example that we tried to set for our community, our university and our program and all the players in it as to what you all have decided to do here today. Terry and I the utmost gratitude for this great legacy type of award by naming the field for us. I can’t tell you how honored and how much appreciation we have for that.”

43 days until kickoff. Name the former Alabama players to wear #43.

I was thinking who I would name, but we can debate the greatest plays in Bama history, and there were many, but there is one play in the last 40 years that changed college football and one player

Antonio Langham, the play that changed College Football.

Gary O’Steen

Gary O'Steen was the star of Coach Bryant's first win at Alabama, which is the game that I fell in love with Alabama. That was my first Alabama football game as an eight year old. He returned a punt 44 yards and caught a 61-yard pass for a touchdowns in a 29-6 victory over Furman, the first of Bryant’s 232 wins at Alabama.

Hoops Recruiting #1 Player in 2025 Nugget

#1 overall player AJ Dybansta is expected to cut his list to 7 at the end of the month.

Alabama will make his list and I think they are in the top 3 for him currently. The reason? Preston Murphy. He coached Dybansta in AAU for multiple years and they have a great relationship. I’ve been told he will visit Alabama this fall on a football weekend.

Football 🏈 Nick Saban shares story of why Alabama's standard is here to stay

Nick Saban shared a cool story about how Julio Jones once corrected a player while informing him of Alabama's standard.

Football 🏈 Nick Saban doesn't pick Alabama to make SEC Championship Game

So much for an Alabama bias.

In his first SEC Media Days as part of ESPN’s broadcast team, Nick Saban isn’t showing any favoritism for his former team. In fact, the legendary head coach doesn’t even have the Crimson Tide in this year’s SEC Championship Game.
