NFL player value.

Let’s say you are an NFL GM and you have a star running back by the name of Jacobs or Barkley. You can franchise tag either and pay them $10.1 million, or they don’t play. At the same time you are paying a lesser rated QB $40 million a year. If you have a rookie or second year QB you are paying the QB $8 million a year and you then have $30million to pay receivers, which makes your young QB better.

These QB salaries while you short change your running backs are crazy. Sorry, but a QB without a receiving Corp is useles. Daniel Jones without Barkley is a bottom tier QB that can be easily replaced. The Giants need Barkley and receivers and then they can argue the issue of Jones.

Last year at Alabama we saw the issue a QB can have, regardless of QB talent, when he doesn’t have great receiver And a running back. In my mind the NFL GM’s need to get their heads screwed on.

Looking to the future.

Only People From Alabama

The year is 2043 and the United States has just elected the first woman as President of
the United States, and she is from Alabama!

A few days after the election, the president-elect calls her father in Alabama and asks,
"So, Dad, I assume you will be coming to my inauguration?"

"I don't think so. It's a long drive; your mom isn't as young as she used to be, we'll
have the dog with us, and my arthritis is acting up in my knee."

"Don't worry about it, Dad, I'll send Air Force One to pick you up and take you home,
and a limousine will pick you up at your door," she said.

"I don't know. Everybody will be so fancy. What would your mother wear?"

"Oh, Dad," she replied, "I'll make sure she has a wonderful gown custom-made by
one of the best designers in N.Y."

"Honey," Dad complained, "You know we can't eat those rich foods you and your
friends like to eat."

The President-elect responded, "Don't worry, Dad. The entire affair is going to be
handled by the best caterer in D.C. And I'll ensure your meals are salt-free."

So her parents reluctantly agreed, and on Jan. 20, 2043, arrived to see their daughter
sworn in as President of the United States. The parents of the new President are
seated in the front row. The President's dad sees that a Senator is sitting next to him
and leans over and whispers, "You see that woman up there with her hand on the
Bible, becoming President of the United States?"

The Senator whispered in reply, "Yes, sir, I sure do."

Dad says proudly, "Her brother played football for The University of Alabama."

media days in Dallas

media days to Dallas for 24. great for me as in Dallas but annoying SEC moving media days everywhere from Hoover on argument biased but they want to renew ATL for SEC Champ game which is decidely pro UGA. They cant tell us their arent other good places anymore.

BTW, Media Days in Dallas will get relatively ignored. Very little college football care here. Barely gets paper coverage. Its all pro here

Who do you want to be the starting QB and why?

With Milroe and Simpson returning and showing positive signs in practice, along with a few glimpses of their game last season, which one will get the nod. Or do you think it will be the Notre Dame transfer Tyler Buchner who arrived in Tuscaloosa a few months ago. Which of Alabama’s three quarterbacks would you want to see take the field for week 1 and why?
