Sure, Miller hasn’t been the same freak athlete that we’ve seen this past year, but it’s only Summer League. In the first game, the headlines read that he had 6 turnovers and 7 fouls, but not many headlines included his 18 points and 5-for-11 shooting in the same game.

In the second game, headlines read that he had 8 fouls and 6 points, but didn’t include his 7 assists. But again, it’s Summer League.

Players such as Glen Rice Jr and Josh Selby are both Summer League MVPs, but never panned out to be what they showed in July.

However on the other side, Deandre Jordan had a poor Summer League and went onto be an All-Star, an All-NBA first team selection, and a two-time All-NBA defensive team selection as well. Patrick Beverly also had a poor summer showing and is now considered one of the best defenders in the league to this day.

Just goes to show that Summer League doesn’t always translate to the rest of a career. It’s still early, and Miller was taken second overall for a reason, so he has plenty of time to prove his worth.

Makes me sick to see Brandon Miller play in the NBA. To know that guy wore crimson last year and the sweet 16 was the best that team could do. Hard to imagine seeing a more talented team in T-town in the near future.

Cole has narrowed things down to USC, Alabama, Georgia, Virginia Tech, Tennessee, Miami, Penn State and Notre Dame.

Cole has used several official visits but also plans to make trips during the season. The four-star linebacker has been in discussions with Alabama about an in-season visit.

Whether or not he stays uncommitted long enough to get on campus is still up in the air.

Ultimately, another big name on the board about to find a landing spot with Alabama still showing interest.

Wikipedia defines a dynasty as a team or individual that dominates their sport or league for an extended length of time. If team A has won 3 of the last 5 conference championships and team B has won one of the last 5, which team is in Dynasty mode?

Same 2 teams - team A has won 6 of the most recent 10 conference championships whereas team B has won 2 of the most recent 10 conference championships, again which team is in dynasty mode?

Perception and reality often differ dramatically. In year 2021 had Alabama won the last game with uga instead of the first game would the perception and narative of these 2 programs be dramatically different today? Just something to think about.

Thompson will have an announcement this afternoon of some sort and there is a chance it could be him flipping to Auburn.

The “flip” hasn’t been confirmed and there’s a chance that he may just announce some other news but the rumors have not gone away at all for the Alabama commit.

Following Friday's loss, Patrick Murphy announced Alabama will be hiring a full-time hitting coach. The Crimson Tide is currently receiving help from volunteer assistant Ryan Iamurri. It's unclear whether the plan is to promote her to a full-time role or bring in a new coach for the position.

"I've already been told by my bosses that we will be [adding a hitting coach], which is really cool for us and the sport," Murphy said. " So we'll get to add. We did have a volunteer coach, don't get me wrong. Now that person becomes a paid assistant coach, which is now legal on July 1st."

Alabama is set for a busy finish to the year and even with more names set to leave and be added to this list, here are a few names to keep an eye on.
