Football 🏈 What to watch for in Alabama's opener against Western Kentucky

Here are five things we’ll be watching for when the Tide opens its season Saturday night.

Football 🏈 How Jalen Milroe's dual-threat talent can shine in Kalen DeBoer's offense

Kalen DeBoer’s resume of developing elite quarterbacks is getting richer by the year.

The head coach and his high-flying offense at Washington helped

Michael Penix Jr. parlay his pinpoint accuracy into a top-10 selection in this year’s NFL draft. DeBoer’s fingerprints are also on Jake Haener, who earned a fourth-round selection in 2023 after picking apart defenses from the pocket at Fresno State.

That streak of NFL passers might continue next spring, as Jalen Milroe is projected as a possible early-round pick. However, if the Alabama quarterback is indeed destined for the next level, his path might look a bit different than his DeBoer-led predecessors.

Total Disrespect

Alabama is being totally disrespected entering the season. We have only one player projected as a first round draft choice, one player as a freshman all American, one player as a potential all American, and people believe we will not even be a playoff team.

Sorry to disagree with the experts, but I see a very talented team that we will put on the field, even. though I concede we play very good Georgia, Tennessee, Missouri, LSU and Auburn teams. Come playoff time, Alabama will be in the house.

Connor Stalions “Documentary”

Did y’all watch the Netflix Untold Sign Stealer “documentary” on Michigan and Connor Stalions? I watched it yesterday and it was almost unwatchable bcuz it was so ridiculous. Stalions is talking for about half of it and the other half is talking to reporters, his family and friends. Basically the only reason Michigan couldn’t beat Ohio State before was bcuz they were not part of the secret, widespread network of analysts working for various CFB teams that shared information on signs and signals every Sunday. Michigan was losing bcuz every other school except them was participating in this underground sign stealing information sharing.

He says he was never involved in in-person scouting. He tries to act like all those tickets he bought had nothing to do with scouting other teams. That he bought lots of CFB tickets and made money buying and selling them and that he’d buy them for friends every now and then. Said they were cheap $100 tickets…on the 50 yard line a few rows back from the field??? And that he didn’t want to be rude when his friends sent him videos from the game and tell them not to send them. Also said he couldn’t recall if he attended a Central Michigan game on the sidelines but had several thousand signs memorized. He could remember attending the Michigan v Ohio State game in a ski mask and had video of him at the national championship game…even shows him crying when Michigan wins.

He’s delusional if he thinks anyone actually believes his version when all the receipts and evidence say otherwise. He’s now a DC for a Detroit high school football team. His dream is to be the Michigan HC.
