I know most, if not all of you, have seen where Rivals is merging with On3 Sports. It means TideIllustrated will merge with BamaOnLine.
I was fortunate to spend more than 10 years working at Rivals. It was tough to leave the company for On3/BOL, but saw it as a great opportunity to join one of the hardest working, most relentless staffs in the country when it comes to covering the University of Alabama from a team and recruiting perspective.
Unfortunately, the TideIllustrated staff will not join us as I have a lot of respect for Tony from working with him in the past, We wish him nothing but the best in his future. We believe we have the best Alabama coverage staff- and possibly the best team site in the country at BOL. What makes us different is our community. It’s constant engagement from discussing everything Alabama, to what we’re cooking on the weekends, favorite shows and our kids. It’s one big happy family with thousands interacting each day on the Round Table.
This is the largest, and most trusted online Bama community and we can’t wait for you to jump in with us! I was hesitant at first- new people, a different speed, but once you get involved, you quickly realize there isn’t a place you’d rather be. It’s where I would plant my feet if I ever leave the business, which I don’t intend.
Our publsher Tim Watts started at Rivals and helped build BOL to what it is today. You can take what he says to the bank. Many of you know me, but for the ones who don’t, I have covered Alabama for 22 years. I was born in Tuscaloosa, went to school at Alabama, worked for the Tuscaloosa News, Scout.com/BamaMag, Rivals, and with BOL/On3 for the last three years. Tim and I were former competitors, now together, and believe we form the best recruiting duo in the industry.
Charlie Potter is our lead team reporter. He has worked with BOL for more than 10 years. He is one of the best team content producers for any team site and has outstanding features throughout the year outside of just the normal every day stuff. Blake Byler completed his first year with us, He covers the team, basketall and helps on the recruiting front as well. He is a young, rising star on the Alabama beat.

There is nothing you need to do as far as your subscription. It will automatically be transferred to BamaOnLine. You’ll recieve our in-depth coverage along with all of the national content for guys like Steve Wiltfong, Chad Simmons who are at the top fo their game in the industry.
Subscription rate will not change. You’ll be grandfathered in at your current rate- as long as you stay active and do not let your subscription lapse.
You do not need to create a new login. Any issues- suport@On3.com.

If you have dual membership, your auto-renew for Rivals has been turned off. You will not be double-billed. You can also contact suport@On3.com, myself or Tim Watts if there are any issues through DM on the BOL message boad.
