Hey everyone, sorry it's taken so long to give you an update, but here goes.
Unfortunately, On3 and BamaOnline have elected not to retain me in the merger. That will leave me without a job beginning July 1.
Chances are, I won't be on the Alabama beat. It's not a great time in the sports writing market, so there just aren't many spots out there.
I will still be in the area, though. I just bought a house in Northport and will get married to my fiancee Katie Windham (she covers Alabama for Alabama on SI) next month. If you are in town, feel free to connect with me for lunch or a drink. My DMs are open on X (Twitter).
I graduated Alabama in 2012 and have been covering the team since 2016. It's been the ride of my life, and y'all made it possible. I never thought I'd be able to do any of this. It's truly been a dream come true.
I don't know what will come next for me. It's a little bit scary and a lot bit sad. I do know that God has a path for me, and everything will turn out as it should.
I'm going to miss everyone.
