Current NET Rankings

Was looking at the current NET Rankings which as I understand has replaced RPI as what the committee looks at for seedings and tournament bids. We're currently 18th, but what is more interesting is that we're the only team (out of 358) that has not played a single Quad 4 opponent. All teams ranked ahead of us have played at least 3, while Gonzaga, Duke, Texas & Kentucky have each played 8.

You would think based on that SOS that it will pay dividends in the NCAA tourney down the road.
I did not realize that Iona and Davidson were quad 1 games.

What's crazy is looking at current rankings Georgia and Mizzou may be our 2 worst opponents this year.

With the schedule Bama has, all the Georgia and Missouri games home and away are must wins.
I was also surprised Jacksonville State was not a quad 4 team.

If you would have told me at beginning of the year that our 3 losses would be to Iona, Davidson, and Memphis and Memphis was considered the worst loss of the 3, I would have said you're crazy.

We have the best Q1 record at 4-3. Yet given all these stats, a team like Tennessee is ranked ahead of us despite the fact we beat them head-to-head?????

Last time I checked both were in the top 60 in the net. Iona @ 57 and Davidson @ 51

Unfortunately for us both of them will probably fall in the rankings now that they’re in conference play. I doubt if either of them has a team left on their schedule that is ranked in the top 100.

Our schedule is crazy tough and we have a lot of tough ones left including a 3 game stretch of Baylor, au, and Kentucky. We may not have an elite record but this team will be tournament ready by the end of the year. Interior D and consistency from 3 will determine how far this group will go.
