Alabama and Memphis are tied at 11 heading into the first media timeout. Alabama opens the game 5 of 5 while Memphis is 4 of 6. The Tigers have scored 7 points off of four Tide turnovers.
Alabama leads Memphis 18-13 with 12:03 to play in the half. JD Davison has assisted on six of the Tide's eight made baskets on the night.

Alabama leads Memphis 27-26 with 7:28 to play in the half. Alabama is shooting 58% from the floor but has turned the ball over eight times leading to 10 Memphis points.
This would be an entertaining game if it wasnt for the thousands of turnovers
JQ gets in his on head and you can tell when he’s going to be off for the night. With that said Shack hasn’t played well so far either, but with that we are down only one. Turnovers got to get less.

Memphis leads Alabama 37-32 with 24.8 seconds remaining in the half. The Tide has hit just one of its last nine shots.
Yeah he’s got to finish better around the rim. Several do. And we get in some trouble when we’re forced into half court offense. That last possession was just… pathetic. Memphis has been a dumpster fire, it would’ve been nice to jump on them, but hopefully we’ll pull it together and play a good second half.
Don’t like who we’ve had take the 3 point shots tonight. Too many from the bigs. Also, JD is going to have to learn to score besides the dunk. If he can become a scoring threat, we’re a legit natty contender.
Alabama failed to score over the final 3:59 of the half, going 1 of 9 during that span. Meanwhile, Memphis was able to go on an 8-0 run to take a 37-32 lead into the break.
Just off tonight all around. It happens but… great teams figure out a way to win most of those anyway
How in the hell did Memphis lose their last 4? We aren’t helping ourselves tho… hopefully adjustments made at half
I know we expect the guards to play better but give a little credit to Memphis' guards. Not a lot of open looks outside and when there is an open guy Memphis is making sure that it is Gary or Gurley.
They have not been playing together at all. Just been a mess. They are legitimately a top 10 talent team and playing more like it tonight.

-Let’s stop having the big guys shooting for quick 3’s. Shoot if you’re open and not rushing it.
-Keon we need you to hit an outside shot to get some confidence back that you can hit
-Miles just try not to turn it over and keep on hitting those 3’s
-Love the assist from JD and he and Bediako play well together.
- Gary needs to play like a big man even though he really isn’t. Haha! Go strong to the basket. Refs are going to call foul if you don’t and/or you are going to miss the layups

No question that Memphis has had a ton to do with who has open looks at the 3. JQ and Shack will need to figure it out to win this though.
