Disappointing for sure. Worst game we’ve played. We need to get to hitting outside shots again, defense has to get better and Herb has to stop fouling. Also need these seniors to be better. We are a good team. We only have 2 losses in the conference. Crazy good, but just haven’t been hitting lately. Don’t give up on this team. They can easily score 100+ next one. Just have to figure a few things out right now. Roll Tide

Thing is the 3 wasn’t really the problem today...fouls, FTs, and missed 2pt were a lot bigger issues
We’re not a top team. Not even top in the sec. Don’t know what happened but this isn’t the same team that went on that winning streak. Keep playing like this and we’ll get bounced from the sec tourney and be one and done in the big dance. Just awful basketball the last couple of weeks.

Overreaction. I think we will be ok. Just a long season and we went up against some good teams here and yes lost some. Believe in this team. They can go on a run and do big things.
they'd crack up! everyone is freaking out that we are going to be 13-2 in the sec and ranked 8-9 after this. Its this mans 2nd year. I cant imagine the steps we take year after year.
This is where you make zero sense. You call the team good. 13-2..so on. But you constantly bash the best players and the guys that got them there. You don't see how those are the complete opposites?

Petty isn’t wrong... Oats should have gotten tossed an hour ago. Petty shouldn’t have had to voice his displeasure. He’s gotten hammered twice with no call, yet on the other end we can’t get away with a touch foul.

They have those issues in a lot of games, the difference is the 3 point shooting covers those things up. They haven't shot the ball well tonight and that's why they are getting walked off the court.
I dont think they are the best by any reason. People say we have some players with 2nd round grades. I can tell you, herb has swiftly fell down boards and might be the only draft. Ellis, primo, and shack and legitimate potential to receive round 1 grades going into the year.

You have all the answers until you get a direct question. Who are the best players on this team? Any coach in the SEC is going to focus on Herb and Petty first. But you don't even want them to play. So whatever you do in your "association" is far beyond any SEC coach.

Again, making 3s covers up a lot of their deficiencies. Games that Bama have lost against good teams, they haven't shot well.
Other than a few open looks every three, even the ones that went in, were heavily contested. Bruner, Gary, and Reese were the only shooters to get open looks. Enough said. When Bama looked their best 6 weeks ago nobody could stay in front of our guards. Now our guards can't get separation nor could they keep Arky in front of them.
If petty was fired up effort wise as much as he was about the bogus fouls we’d be aight. Petty wasn’t stepping up bc oats wasn’t. Petty only acted that way bc the fouls were on him. Stay composed take your medicine sometimes even if the officiating isn’t even and take out the frustration by working harder on the court in practice and the next game. Don’t cry about it.
I agree Ellis should be in the starting lineup... but there’s a clear role player who for some reason is a starter and it’s primo.
I don’t care about the NCAA seed. I care about winning the SEC. But Bama doesn’t deserve if it can’t beat Miss St and Auburn.
Basketball has always been a very distant second as my favorite sports. One team that can’t really shoot gets hot while the other better shooting team can’t throw it in the ocean. Throw in the refs and you get something like we saw tonight...Bama shot 8 free throws while Arky shot 43. Huh?

Oats was out coached. Players out played and out hustled. And for good measure the officials have worked us over like I haven't seen in years.
I probably haven't seen it this bad since the barn game a few years ago when they shot like 50 free throws to our 10 or something. I was afraid there would be a brawl the way they were letting Ark do what they wanted and we got every touch foul. Petty eventually decided he'd had enough.
Ark was ready for this game. They treated it like a championship game and their whole season depended on it. They probably also remembered how bad we whipped them in T-Town. We weren't ready for someone to come at us like this. I hope we learn from it because we'll see Ark again if we don't lay an egg in the SEC tourney. We obliterated Ark in T-Town when the officials weren't being ridiculous so we can beat them.
I don't know what funk Petty is in but he's got to get out of it. And we have to learn to play with guys that are now coming back to being healthy. We've been worse since Jones got healed and Bruner came back.

A few weeks ago people were helping off of our shooters, even when they didn't need to. It wasn't that we were just blowing by people. Now they've realized to stick to shooters and make our guards win off the dribble around the basket and we haven't had a great answer for that. JQ should be the answer, but hasn't exactly been that. More motion and movement in the half court wouldn't be a bad thing either for this group with how people are playing us.
