I've a question about Women's Bball and Women's sports in general......

Do you think a player's weight should be included along with their height? Why or why not?

It hit me again while looking at our Women's basketball roster. I asked my wife (who is not a sports fan) and she doesn't think its offensive to women who are athletes. She did say overweight women are sensitive about their weight, but overweight men can be sensitive about it also.

I'd like to hear from our women posters also.

Jones has the potential to be special. He's been one of the most trending 2026 prospects since the start of the year. Jones is legit 6'3, 210, with plenty of room to go. Jones is a big fan of Alabama, and this offer could mean a lot but still, expect him to let things play out.

2025 prospect from Georgia receives an offer:

Baker is next in line to tote the rock for a loaded Buford squad. Baker can be easy I’ve but still carry it ever down if needed, he also already has a slew of SEC offers. Look for him to separate himself this season.

Football 🏈 Ivy league school or Group of 5?

I'm trying to talk my oldest son, who is being recruited by a couple of Ivy schools to play football, to give them a lot more consideration over the current Group of 5 schools that's showing him some interest right now.

I pretty much had to force him to do the virtual tour of with the Princeton coaches this weekend, which he ended up liking. But he still has his mind set on going to a school like Troy or Middle Tennessee State, which are also showing interest, mainly for the football.

Of course if he has a good enough senior season that allows him to get an offer from a Power 5 school, I won't stand in his way, but I would much rather he end up at Princeton or Penn if that's not the case.

So how would you steer him without forcing him to do something he wants to do? I know what his dreams are, but I also know what graduating from a school like this could do for him.

Thoughts on Alabama's Blowout Victory Over Florida

Everyone was curious how Alabama would perform tonight during a mid-week game, with the big road game against Auburn coming up this Saturday. Question answered. They took care of business like they have all of conference play defeating Florida 97-69. They took a 52-23 lead into half time and everyone thought it might be another 40+ point win, but give Florida credit coming out and waking Bama up. They even outscored Alabama in the 2nd half (46-45), so some good coaching points by Oats will be made.

Brandon Miller could not be stopped scoring 24 points on 9-17 shooting and Sears has broken out of his mini-shooting slump scoring 19 points and each hitting 4 threes. I thought Quinerly played great off the bench and he has looked comfortable of late and Pringle was a defensive monster with some highlight dunks as well. Alabama has done a great job with the high pick n roll executing the lobs and getting easy looks off of them.

Colin Castleton is the best big man that Alabama has faced all season and he had a fantastic game really giving Alabama problems. Going into the game, I said you can let him go off but don't let others go off and that's what happened. First half was excellent defense and the second half you could tell they started coming out complacent. That tightened up as the half went on, but you didn't want another 40+ point blowout because that doesn't help you down the line. This game will.

Now you have the big showdown coming up this Saturday against Auburn. With Tennessee losing to Vanderbilt tonight, it gives Alabama a 3 game cushion over UT and AU, but only a 2 game cushion over A&M. A win Saturday will put Alabama in excellent position to win the conference.
