Stretch (as his teammates call him) had a hell of a game. Double, double in points and rebounds, played great defense, lot of tipped balls to keep Bama alive, great hustle after loose balls and several good passes. This kid would not be denied tonight.

Over the weekend, I heard Coach Saban called out because he told Brock Purdy that he did not have the arm strength and other traits to be Alabama's QB.

Fact, 31 NFL teams passed over Brock Purdy seven times or more, before he was finally drafted with the last pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. There were a lot of coaches that thought the same as Nick Saban.

Fact. Alabama had QB's Tua, Jalen, Mac, and Bryce that would have all started ahead of Brock Purdy, so if Purdy had come to Alabama, no one would have ever known his name.

Fact. Purdy was a good college QB at Iowa State and he has achieved a lot more than anyone expected.

I think Coach Saban was honest with Brock Purdy and I think Brock Purdy should be commended to the hard work that got him to this point in time, but I see nothing wrong in what Coach Saban told Brock Purdy.

After watching the young QBs look great so far in the NFL, (I really enjoyed watching Mahomes and Jackson duel yesterday). Deshaun Watson and Dak Prescott are playing as well as any QB right now too. These guys are the future. Teams are tanking for Tua, Hurts will likely be a first rounder after going through a season at OU (He was Built by Bama), and whoever wins the job next season between Lia and Bryce will be next in line. Alabama hasn’t had a legitimate QB in the league in my lifetime will these guys change the narrative? I think so.

The AP and ESPN will release the rankings today around noon and after the weekend of upsets, there could be a new number 1. We know that No. 1 Houston lost last week and so did Kansas, so the door is open. Of course being number 1 in basketball does not have the meaning of the CFP rankings, but it has been over twenty years since we achieved that tanking.

personally, I think we will be #2 behind Purdue, but it could happen. When was the last time two SEC teams were in the top five, which could also happen ?

I am so impressed with Eagles offense and how well it fits Jalen Hurts. If CBoB leaves I really like the idea of pursuing him to become our next OC.

is anyone worried now about our WR group next year...looks like the light went on for Burton, Brooks has been good all year, and the young kids are ready to step up and play...we have the Juco guy and the 5 star freshman to add to the room, and Harrel should get a look so to me we're going to be fine...my concern, after watching Milroe wind up and throw a ground ball, is who will get them the ball...
