Look for local-area RB Kevin Riley of Tuscaloosa County to visit later this month. The trip will be a big one, as other schools such as LSU, UGA, Miami, and Auburn among others are involved as well. Distance from home in Northport is expected to play a factor here.
Sticking with RB recruiting, IMG Academy (Fla.) RB Jerrick Gibson has an established top four of Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, and Texas. His official visit to Tuscaloosa has been locked in for the weekend of June 9th. Texas is thought to be on top right now; the Longhorns also have the final (scheduled) official visit right now.
Alabama is going to be a real factor moving forward for Calif. Rivals250 LB Jordan Lockhart, especially when considering the fact that just hours before decommitting from Ole Miss he was on the Alabama campus. They are not the only school in the mix, though, as Tennessee, Michigan, and the much closer to home USC are all involved as well. USC and Alabama are likely leading at this time, but that could change as more visits occur.
Tuskegee (Ala.) LB Joseph Phillips visited Auburn and Georgia over the weekend, and though he has other visits coming up this month to both Florida and Florida State, Alabama remains a team to watch here. The new defensive staff members are a key factor here. UGA, as they have been recently for recruits in the state of Alabama, is the wild-card.
Miss. ATH target Julius Pope has locked in visits with Arkansas, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Louisville thus far. The Crimson Tide are in the mix, but he hasn't finalized his return trip to Tuscaloosa yet. He got the offer from Alabama when he met with coach Nick Saban back in January.
Rivals100 IMG Academy (Fla.) S Jordon Johnson-Rubell has a huge visit schedule planned out for the next couple of months, and Alabama is included in that. With DB coach Travaris Robinson leading the way in recruiting him, the plan is to visit on April 15th.
The 2025 class is still well over a year away, but Alabama has made things interesting early for UGA commit and Vigor (Ala.) OL Micah Debose following a visit this past weekend. Debose enjoyed meeting with the Alabama coaches, and could be back in town sooner than later.
Sticking with the 2025 class, Alabama left a HUGE impression on Hattiesburg (Miss.) DT Kevin Oatis following his visit there over the weekend. The in-state schools are right there too for him, but Alabama has themselves squarely in the mix early on.
