TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama continued its fall camp on Thursday as players worked in full pads for the first time under sunny 90-degree weather. Here are some notes from the media viewing period of the workout.

— Junior inside linebacker Shane Lee was absent during the viewing period. Christian Harris led the unit followed by Henry To’o To’o, Jaylen Moody, Deonte Lawson, Kendrick Blackshire, Ian Jackson, Jackson Bratton and Demouy Kennedy.

— Nick Saban did not mention Shane Lee during his Wednesday Zoom call with the media. This spring, Saban revealed that Lee was dealing with a sports hernia injury last season.

— Freshman tight end Caden Clark was also absent from the workout. Cameron Latu led the unit followed by Major Tennison, Robbie Ouzts and Jahleel Billingsley

— Junior defensive lineman D.J. Dale was present and dressed out in full pads but did not participate in drills during the viewing period.

— Trey Sanders was full go as the team moved into full pads. Wednesday Saban said the five-star back was continuing to progress nicely from his season-ending hip injury last November.

“He’s been doing really, really well. I don’t know how he’s gonna continue to develop and progress. But he’s worked hard. He’s doing a good job. We’re very positive and pleased with the progress that he’s made, and we’re very pleased with where he is right now. He continues to work hard and we’ll see how he continues to develop.”

— Alabama’s first unit on the offensive line still appears to be Evan Neal, Javion Cohen, Chris Owens, Emil Ekiyor Jr. and Kendall Randoph. The second unit was made up of Amari Kight, Tommy Brown, Darrian Dalcourt, Tanner Bowles and J.C. Latham. It looked like the third unit consisted of Tommy Brockermeyer, Terrence Ferguson II, James Brockermeyer, Jaeden Roberts and Damien George Jr.

— Alabama’s outside linebackers were working in pairs while I watched them. Chris Allen and Will Anderson were in the first group followed by King Mwikuta and Drew Sanders, Chris Braswell and Quandarrius Robinson and Keanu Koht and Dallas Turner.

— Every year Alabama brings in a freshman who already looks like an upperclassman. This year, Dallas Turner is that dude.

— Quarterbacks threw short passes to receivers in the far end zone. For the most part, all three were pretty accurate. Paul Tyson overshot Traeshon Holden on one rep but followed it up by dropping in a dime to Agiye Hall in the corner of the end zone.

— John Metchie III and Javon Baker led the two outside receiving groups while Slade Bolden led the slot receivers. Metchie was followed by Jameson Williams and Ja'Corey Brooks. Baker was followed by Traeshon Holden and Agiye Hall. Bolden was followed by Thaiu Jones-Bell, Christian Leary and JoJo Earle.
