TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama moved indoors Wednesday to escape the heat. Players were dressed in full pads for the workout. Here are some notes from the media viewing period.

— Terrell Lewis was back at practice but did not appear to be doing much. He was dressed out in pads but spent the majority of practice with his helmet off while the rest of the outside linebackers went through drills.

— Anfernee Jennings and Christopher Allen led the unit followed by Ben Davis and King Mwikuta and Kevin Harris and Jarez Parks.

— Antonio Alfano was once again absent during the viewing period. Today marks two weeks that he has been missing from practice.

— Alabama continued to work out of the dime with the same set of defensive backs it has been using. Patrick Surtain II and Trevon Diggs were the corners while Shyheim Carter played at Star and Xavier McKinney played at Money. Jordan Battle and Jared Mayden were the two safeties while Shane Lee played at linebacker.

— The second team had Josh Jobe shadowed by Marcus Banks at one cornerback spot and Jalyn Armour-Davis shadowed by Scooby Carter at the other. Surtain played Star while DeMarcco Hellams played Money. Daniel Wright and Jordan Battle were the safeties while Jaylen Moody played linebacker.

— Alabama was forcing its lone inside linebacker out wide several times during drills as both Lee and Moody appeared to be working on man coverage.

— The was a near disaster as Trevon Diggs collided with a staffer shortly after catching a ball during coverage drills. It’s safe to say the staffer took the brunt of the collision, but no one was injured.

— Saban had some nice things to say about Jordan Battle earlier in the day.

“Jordan has done a nice job for us,” he said. “He’s made some contribution. There’s been some plays that I think with a little more experience he would make. He’s tough. He’s a good tackler. He’s a very instinctive player.”

— The first-team offensive line remained the same with Alex Leatherwood, Evan Neal, Chris Owens, Landon Dickerson and Jedrick Wills Jr. lining up from left to right.

— Keilan Robinson is not wearing a scout-team number this week.
